7 Way Dachshunds

 

Several years back, DCA Newsletter Editor Lynne Dahlén began honoring dogs who had earned titles in all of the AKC venues in which Dachshunds are eligible to compete with a cover story. At the time, there were seven venues open to Dachshunds — conformation, field, obedience, tracking, earthdog, agility and rally obedience. Hence, the name “7 Way Dachshund”.  [In 2011, AKC introduced an all-breed coursing ability test so technically there are now 8 AKC venues open to Dachshunds.]

We agree with Lynne that a 7 Way dog (or 8 Way) is a pretty impressive accomplishment and are happy to include these multi-talented dogs on the TDHP website.
