Thanks to the DFA of Berks County for asking for a critique of their recent Specialty. I worked on it while I was driving home and finished it a couple of days later. Here are my views on the dogs and I hope they are appreciated.

I hate to be flooding everyone with more critiques, but the Florida Gulf Coast Dachshund Club asked me to do a critique of their show that I judged last week, and, so, here it is. This is another example of what I am looking for and what I am seeing as I make my decisions. If you notice, I do try to stay positive and concentrate on the dog’s strong points and hope my preferences come through.

Please read here for a great read of a very nice Specialty:

I was asked to write an article for Sight and Scent magazine to be featured in their October/November issue about judging my breed. For anyone who cannot get a copy, please take time to read it here:

As I stated, Nancy Prouty sent another wonderful compliment of pictures that Dee saved for her. In that group was an article that Dee wrote about judging her breed, the Dachshund.

Please take the time to read Dee’s thoughts on judging the Breed that she loved so much in:

In The American Dachshund’s Twentieth Anniversary Issue, Harry Sharpe of Badger Hill Kennel wrote an amazing tribute to his star: CH Albion’s Own Penelope. She was a top winner and, more importantly, a GREAT producer. For his take on her and her offspring, please read:
