Pedigree

Emma was whelped at Wally and Mary Jones’ home as I had another couple of litters and NO kennel yet. As a puppy, she was overshadowed, both in the puppy pen and the show ring,  by her sister, Elite, who was “flash” personified. Looking back, I see that Emma was actually just a female version of her sire, Gerolf, with the same pluses and minuses–beautifully detailed head and ear, great front, solid body, okay rear and, as was so  typical of the Gerolf daughters, a GREAT producerMr. Hartkemeier came and saw her as a puppy, fell in love and bought her with the stipulation she stay at my house to be shown and bred. I was very happy with that decision, as her first litter was an all-champion one, which included PJ and Pumpkin. Her second litter produced Yorktown (Eric) and then Quicksilver (Sylvia) in her final litter. All became important to what followed. Emma was the sweetest bitch there was, but terrified of thunderstorms. When they occurred, she would get out of any run and come to the house.
