When Kaye Ladd, a Saddlebred exhibitor, bought this dog from Ed Jenner,  another Dog breeder/Judge/exhibitor but who also was one of the best Saddlebred/Hackney Pony/Shetland Pony exhibitors as well, this horse knowledge was brought into the Dachshund Breed. Kaye bred this bitch well and got some nice ones herself , but the temperaments were not what she wanted and she fixed this  in a generation. Kaye knew what she wanted and, like me, wanted the look we had in the English Horse World in the Dachshund Breed. She had the knowledge and made sure she achieved that in the Dog World. My hat is off to her appreciation of type and structure and the way she accomplished this.
