Whelped: July 1, 1953

Multiple Hound Group Winner. In her first litter by CH Saber of Gera, Olinda produced five champions. CH Willo-Mar’s Charleston and CH Willo-Mar’s Mambo came from a repeat breeding to Saber.
Jeanette Cross discovered Olinda as she was judging Smooths at Westminster KC in 1955. Lorraine Heichel was showing her and she was untrained and unsure of herself, but Mrs Cross was so taken with her that she awarded her BV over the whole entry . After judging, she wheedled this great bitch from Mr Spradling and won some of the biggest entries on the East Coast with her. She was a multiple group winner , but was sold to Marcia Wheeler for one of her foundation bitches and she then became as successful in the whelping box as she previously was in the show ring.
