Born in 2005, Am CH, Nu CH, Intl CH Burdachs Brown Eyed Handsome Man ROMX, bred by Carol Burton, was the red puppy in a brindle litter that wasn’t exactly the pick of the litter, but made up for it in spades over his lifetime…
“Ehren” (with an E!), won points at every-other show he was entered, owner-handled, with his third of three majors and his CH title in 2007 at a DCA Specialty going BOW/BOS under Judge Dan Harrison. Ehren then flew to Norway for a two-year adventure, earning his beauty and working titles.
Ehren was handled by Adam Peterson at the Houston Dachshund Club Specialty in 2012, and earned SELECT DOG under Judge Dan Harrison. Ehren was the ONLY miniature to make the final cut for BOV. Dan shared his thoughts: “Select Dog LH, (Ehren) was a red miniature whose head and expression were absolutely beautiful. Among his other virtues were proper coat of the correct texture, topline, attitude and rear. He just lacked a little in front to carry the day, but a commendable dog, none the less.”
Ehren has CH get in many countries and the ALL TIME FAVORITE is Australian BIS CH Rabows Charmed One, owned by Lil Keen and daughter Terry Keen of Dacshoe. With the help of Chris Lawrence and Micahel Phelps, “Prue” went BEST IN SHOW in November 2012 at the 10th National Dachshund Specialty Hosted by The Dachshund Club of Victoria under Judge Pamela Peat. Only TWO Miniature Longhair Dachshunds have EVER won this award to date.
Ehren received his ROM in 2015 as well as his TOP PRODUCER AWARD – (#1 ML Male [NMDC], #2 Male [DCA]) and ROMX in 2017, in thanks to many people who took the chance to use that LITTLE RED PUPPY in a whelping box that drew the eye of his adoring owners, Melissa Sworab and husband Mark Sworab of Rabows Kennel.
